Included in the software provided by Persistor Instruments Inc. for use with the CF1 is a simple, table-driven command line interface that you can use in your own programs. A full description of its functionality and use is in the PicoDOS Programmming section of this manual.
This is included here because we have made up three examples of increasing complexity to demonstrate how you would use the CMD processor in your own applications. The first examp[le illustrates the barest of functionality and exists mainly to demonstratew the table mechanism. The second example contains information on how you would utilize string arguments, and the l;ast example shows how to take advantage of CMD's argument preprocessing services that put numeric arguments into variables in number form. The project, is in the Examples folder of the documentation and is called CMD Demos. This CodeWarrior Project contains multiple, complete example programs. These multiple programs are handled through MetroWerks' multiple-target handling system.
To Pick a particular target use the taget pull-down menu in the project window, located beneath the Files tab at the top of the window. The left edge of the menu has a bullseye with an arrow pointing at it. Some multi-target projects send the complilers object and binary data to either a "bin" directory, or into a directory named "<PROJECTNAME> Data". Point MotoCross to one of these if you do not see the binaries in the main project directory.
