r® R212

The R212 prototyping board is supplied with power and communication cables.
The R212 is an excellent baseboard for CF2 project development. It provides easy access to a MAX146 12 bit, 8 channel A/D converter, as well as an LED and three buttons for RESET, PBM and WAKE. A power cable and a communication cable are included. The datasheet provides a full schematic and parts list for users who wish to move parts of the design to their own design.

The CF2 can be loaded with PicoDAQ software (included in the PicoDEV CD), which allows you to use the A/D converter immediately, via a command line launch, and write easily retrievable data files to a CompactFlash card. For programmers interested in more advanced A/D applications, there are detailed programming examples showing how to interface with the same A/D. The CF2 and R212 combination allow sampling of up to 80,000 (8 channels @ 10Khz each) samples per second. The A/D has a built in 2.5 volt reference.

Features of this prototyping board are:
Sockets for mounting (CF1 or) CF2
Power socket with de-bounce capacitor
18" power cable
3 volt lithium battery holder for memory and RTC backup
SCI UART cable header
SCI UART cable ending in DB9 for PC communication port
Ready to run 8 channel 12 bit A/D converter (0 to 2.5 V input)
Header for ribbon cable input to A/D, if desired
Three push buttons for RESET, PBM and WAKE
One 2 color LED
Connectors and buttons set at right angles to allow access when covered by larger outlined sandwich cards.
2.5" X 3" prototyping area can be left attached or broken away.
